Staff members at the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville are thanking everyone that took part in and donated to a recent fundraising event.
The “IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s” saw people take to the streets of Smiths Falls and walk together to honour people suffering from dementia and their caregivers.
According to a post on the organization’s social media pages, the event brought in $20,634 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
“We truly have no words to express our gratitude and appreciation towards our community,” the post reads. “We couldn’t do it without you.”
All the money is going towards supporting people living in the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark regions living with dementia, and the caregivers that help them with day-to-day life.
