Beth Donovan Hospice organizing support group for people affected by suicide

North Grenville residents struggling with the loss of a loved one to suicide are being invited to a new initiative being organized by Beth Donovan Hospice.

The organization will be running an eight-week support group for people dealing with feelings of grief after a suicide in their life, beginning later this winter.

According to the announcement, the program will be free to take part in, and will be mediated by a professional grief and bereavement counsellor. It’s being hosted at the North Grenville Public Library.

“This group provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space that will offer strategies and coping suggestions, as well as hold space for sharing and supporting,” the announcement reads.

It begins on February 6th, and will run until March 27th. You’ll need to register in advance by contacting Megan Dillenbeck, an Integrated Counselling Therapist with the organization. Details for how to sign up can be found on Beth Donovan Hospice’s website and social media pages.
