North Grenville residents will be competing in a national under-18 women’s curling championship later this year.
Kaitlyn Dumoulin and Emilie Padbury, both members of the North Grenville Curling Club, secured their spots in the nationwide competition at the CurlON Women’s U-18 Provincial Championships over the weekend.
Dumoulin and Padbury, alongside teammates Megan Zwilak and Sydney Anderson, are celebrating their victory on social media.
“We want to congratulate all of the teams who made it to provincials,” a post on the team’s Instagram page reads. “The competition was fierce right down to the last rock.”
The girls are also thanking the tournament’s organizers for making their performance possible.
“To our coaches, our families, our home club and our sponsors we are very grateful for your support,” they add.
The U-18 National Championship is being held in Timmins this year, from February 5th to 11th.
