United Counties inviting residents to “Agriculture Area Review” info session

Leeds-Grenville residents will have an opportunity to learn about the United Counties’ planned changes to its agricultural land designations.

The United Counties is running a “Land Evaluation and Area Review,” meant to assess whether the current agricultural boundaries are appropriate and if any new land needs to be added to them.

Staff members say the Counties plan to use the data from this study to update its’ “Official Plan,” a document that outlines the government’s ideas for things like future housing developments.

As part of the study, residents are being invited to an “Agriculture Area Review open house” info session, to learn more about the process and what changes the United Counties is considering.

It’s happening on December 12th. You’ll be able to attend in person in Brockville, or virtually via Microsoft Teams. You can find details for how to attend on the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville website.
