Leeds Grenville Economic Development Summit: registration open, guest speaker announced

Ontario’s Minister of Finance is visiting the Leeds-Grenville region for a keynote presentation next month.

Peter Bethlenfalvy, who was appointed to the position at the end of 2020, has been announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s Leeds Grenville Economic Development Summit.

The annual event, which is being held in person this year after a string of online showings because of the COVID-19 pandemic, will also feature the local MP, Michael Barrett, and MPP, Steve Clark.

This year’s Bill Thake Memorial Award for Economic Development Leadership, also called the Leeds-Grenville Warden’s Award, is also being presented at the summit.

Last year, the award went to Rideau Lakes resident Ken Watson and North Grenville resident Cathy Sheppard.

The event is happening at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville on November 18th. Registration to attend costs $50, and the deadline to sign up is November 11th.

You can find a link to register on the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville website.
