With this year’s municipal elections getting closer, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville are letting more people apply to help investigate complaints.
The deadline to apply to join the Leeds Grenville 2022 Election Compliance Audit Committee has been extended to August 19th.
Members of the committee will be in charge of handling campaign finance audit requests for this year’s election, and all by-elections between then and November 2026.
Six people in total will be selected to join the committee, and people with backgrounds in law, finance and administration are being encouraged to apply.
Applications are now being accepted until August 19th, which is also the last day to submit nomination paperwork to be a candidate in this year’s election. Election Day is October 24th.
