The end of the nomination period for the 2022 municipal election is only a few days away.
With two weeks left in the nomination period, right now, the only candidate for Mayor in North Grenville is the incumbent, Nancy Peckford.
In order to run in North Grenville, you need to be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and either live in the municipality or be married to someone who does. You’re also not allowed to run if you’re banned from voting.
You also qualify to run if you or your spouse own or rent property in the municipality, even if you don’t live there, as long as you meet the other criteria.

The last day you can submit your nomination paperwork is next Friday, August 19th.
