Staff from the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) are thanking everyone who participated in its recent Mother’s Day fundraising event.
The raffle, which saw a 14-karat white gold diamond ring donated by Cornwall’s Pommier Jewellers given away, raised $3,090 for the hospital.
“Our local communities are so good to us,” says Kristen Casselman, the WDMH’s Managing Director.
“We are so grateful to the local businesses who donate goods and services for our events and to community members who join in the fun to support health care close to home.”
The money from the event is being put towards the hospital’s Family Care Fund, which it uses to replace aging and outdated equipment.
