You’re running out of time to put your name on the ballots in the upcoming election in North Grenville.
Municipalities are accepting candidacy paperwork until August 19th.
In order to run in North Grenville, you need to be at least 18 years old, be a Canadian citizen, and either live in the municipality or be married to someone who does.
If you or your spouse own or rent a property in the municipality, but don’t live in it, you’re also eligible as long as you meet the other criteria. People banned from voting aren’t allowed to run.
So far, the only candidate for Mayor is Nancy Peckford, the incumbent.
