North Grenville residents without air conditioning have a new way to get some relief from the heat.
The municipality has opened the Arena Lobby in the North Grenville Municipal Centre, as a “Cooling Centre” for anyone that needs to get away from the hot weather in the region.
The move comes after a heat warning issued by Environment Canada, which claims humidex values in our area will reach nearly forty degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, with nighttime temperatures lingering above twenty degrees.
If you’re interested in visiting the Cooling Centre, it’s going to be open daily from 7:00 in the morning until 10:00 PM at the Municipal Centre in Kemptville.
