Winchester District Memorial Hospital keeping mask policy

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital’s (WDMH) Communications Lead says you’ll still need to wear a mask if you come to visit a patient.

“Masks are still required at WDMH, despite changes announced by the Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health,” Jane Adams says. “Patients, visitors and staff must wear a mask while at the hospital.”

“We know that masks provide an additional layer of protection and we want to keep everyone safe,” hospital CEO Cholly Bolland adds.

“We want to protect our most vulnerable patients and also keep our staff healthy so they can continue to provide care.”

Adams says staff will provide you with a mask if you don’t have one, and that advance screening for COVID-19 will continue at the hospital as well.
