Temporary closures to Prescott, Reuben Streets announced for Kemptville Buskerfest

Expect some traffic delays in downtown Kemptville next weekend.

Deron Johnston, the Executive Director of the Old Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area and the organizer of the upcoming “Kemptville Buskerfest” street performance event, says some road closures are planned.

On May 21st, the day of the festival, Prescott Street will be closed to vehicles from Clothier Street to the south end of Reuben Crescent.

Additionally, Reuben Street won’t be allowing vehicles between its intersection with Prescott Street and the Private Blake Williamson Memorial Hall.

If you live on either street, Johnston says you’re also being asked to avoid parking in those areas overnight the day before.

“Alternate free parking will be available at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Saturday, May 21st,” he says, “with a free shuttle service to and from downtown between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.”

Both of those closures will begin at 7:00 AM and last until 6:00 PM.
