North Dundas: municipal ball diamonds open May 9th, pending weather delay

If you’re looking to play some baseball, you’ll want to steer clear of our community’s eastern neighbor for at least a few more days.

The Township of North Dundas has put out a statement reminding people that its municipal baseball diamonds aren’t open yet.

“The township is carrying out spring start-up maintenance on the Winchester, Chesterville and South Mountain ball diamonds,” it says.

According to the township, using the ball diamonds right now could damage the grounds, which could delay their opening.

“We ask that the public please not access them for games or practice use at this time,” it adds.

The scheduled date for the ball diamonds to open is May 9th, but the township says that may change due to a high amount of rain in the weather forecast for this week.
