The next time you’re on a walk along Maple Trail in the Ferguson Forest Centre, you might need to pick an alternate route.
The nonprofit organization that maintains the forest says some work is being done to repair flooding damage to a part of the trail, near the OPP parking lot access.
Two parking lots connected to the 1100-acre forest centre on County Road 44 are also having work done.
The organization says those lots, and that portion of Maple Trail will be closed to visitors while the repair work is happening.
If you’re planning to be in the area, the organization is urging you to keep a safe distance from the construction so it can be finished as quickly and safely as possible.
The repairs are expected to be finished by the end of this week.
