North Grenville: New protocols and safety measures for public skating

If you’re planning on going skating at the North Grenville Municipal Centre over the holidays, you might need to register in advance.

The Municipality of North Grenville has announced a number of new safety protocols for skating sessions at the Municipal Centre, to help limit the spread of COVID-19 as case numbers rise locally.

You now need to pre-register for Public Skating and Family Skating sessions. Adult Skating sessions currently don’t require pre-registration, but the municipality says this could change at any time. Additionally, there’s now a maximum of 36 people allowed on the ice for any skating session at any time, with only 12 people allowed in each dressing room at a time.

The schedule for skating sessions hasn’t changed, and tickets to skate still cost $3 for adults and $2 for children and seniors. To see the schedule, and to pre-register for a skating session, visit the North Grenville website.
