North Grenville Public Library not receiving Rapid Antigen COVID-19 tests

If you’re looking for a rapid antigen test for COVID-19 at a community centre, you’ll have to leave Kemptville to get one.

The Ontario government announced on Wednesday that rapid antigen tests were being made available at some pop-up locations in community hubs like malls and libraries.

Rachel Brown, the CEO of the North Grenville Public Library in Kemptville, says she won’t be providing people with test packages. “Only public libraries in areas with higher rates of COVID will be receiving rapid antigen test packages for distribution,” Brown says. “In Eastern Ontario, that will be Ottawa and Peterborough.”

Brown says this may change, if case numbers in the area continue to rise. We’ll be monitoring this situation over the coming weeks to see if tests become available at the Kemptville library.
