Kemptville BIA seeking volunteers for Old Town Christmas Promenade

After the success of the Downtown Promenade event earlier this year, a similar, Christmas-themed event is coming to Kemptville next month.

The “Old Town Christmas Promenade” is being organized by the Old Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area (BIA), a group of business owners primarily based out of Clothier Street and Prescott Street, where the event is being held.

The event will feature activities like horse-drawn wagon rides, live music performed by local singers including the North Grenville Concert Choir, and a live reading of children’s stories by Mayor Nancy Peckford. An open market featuring work by local artists, carpenters and other artisans is also being held throughout the event.

The celebration is being held on December 11th, starting with Mayor Peckford reading to local kids at 11:00 AM. It’s expected to last until 3:00 in the afternoon, and Prescott Street will be closed between Reuben Crescent South and Reuben Crescent North for the duration.

The Old Town Kemptville BIA is still looking for more volunteers to help run the event. The BIA’s Facebook page has registration details.
