North Dundas “Display of Lights” stationary parade coming to South Mountain Fairgrounds

The North Dundas Parade of Lights, planned for December 3rd and 4th, has had to be re-worked in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade, which normally moves through Winchester, is now a stationary parade being held at the South Mountain fairgrounds this year, called the “Display of Lights”. The event’s planning committee says the event is moving from Winchester’s Rideau Auctions Liquidation Centre, where it was held last year, to make it easier to enforce masking and social distancing guidelines for attendees, and to minimize the parade’s impact on traffic. The parade’s Vendor Show is still being held at the Winchester Arena this year.

This year’s event begins at 7:00 PM on December 3rd, and 5:00 PM on December 4th, ending at 9:00 PM on both days. Both days are free to attend. The Vendor Show is being held on December 4th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Parade of Lights website has more details, including a list of vendors and how to sign up to be a part of the Vendor Show.
