Ontario adds 299 new COVID-19 cases

Ontario is reporting close to 300 new COVID-19 cases.
The province added 299 on Tuesday but officials say 90 of the cases are from 2020 and were added due to a data review and clean-up.
Another 25 people died with 19 of the deaths from last year and added as part of the clean-up.
The recovery rate is steady at 98 per cent with more recoveries than new cases reported.
Over 265,000 vaccines were given over the last day, setting a new record, with over 28,000 tests done.
Test positivity is at 1.6 per cent.
