My Local Markets Set To Launch Season’s First Night Market

Organizers for My Local Markets in Kemptville are getting set to launch the first of an ongoing series of night markets.

Market organizer Darlene Collin says the night market is a great opportunity for businesses who’ve been closed through the pandemic to get their product out to the public.

“Being able to have everybody outside where they can speak to customers directly about their products is really important, especially given the length of our most recent lockdown,” Collin said.

Collin says with vaccinations going up, and COVID-cases in decline, they wanted to promote being able to get outside again.

She says the market includes over 40 vendors and will have a wide range of products available for customers.

“You’ll get your jams, pretzels, flowers, and Kemptville Pride will also have a booth set up and they’ll be selling some items as part of their fundraisers,” Collin said.

The market takes place at the Kemptville Campus Thursday and runs from 4:30-8pm.
