North Grenville Fire Department Reporting Grass Fire near 416 Rideau River Road On-ramp

North Grenville Fire Department is reporting a fire in a field near the 416 on-ramp to Rideau River Road.

While joined by Ottawa Fire Services, they are urging caution in that area as fire trucks and firefighters will be around the location. They ask the public to avoid that area if they can.

NGFD is reminding the public to safely dispose of smoking material.

Update:
As of 1:37pm the fire is under control, but both NGFD and Ottawa Fire Services are searching for hotspots.
