the Upper Canada District School Board has said a number of their schools, including South Branch Public School in Kemptville, have had at least one individual in their school test positive for COVID-19.
South Branch joins Roxmore Public School in Avonmore and Rockland District High School as schools that have at least one individual test positive for COVID-19. Leeds-Grenville and Lanark Health Unit, as well as the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, are working with the schools to make sure they find anyone who was a high-risk exposure. They say they are taking the necessary steps to prevent the spread of the virus.
The schools remain open for in-person learning and have no change to their daily schedule. The Board reminds the public that they will not release specific details on COVID-19 cases in their schools.
