Leeds Grenville Lanark District Health Unit to Move to Yellow Restrictions

Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit will be moving to Yellow-Protect public health restrictions.

Level: Yellow – Protect means All restrictions imposed under green level, with the following additional measures:
– Bars and restaurants can only stay open until midnight, last call at 11:00 p.m.
– Volume of music must be limited to conversation level in bars and restaurants, event spaces and retail locations
– Spacing between patrons in exercise classes or weight rooms must increase to three metres

Medical Officer of Health for the Unit Dr. Paula Stewart says the moves are to limit the ability of the virus to spread. She says that to go from Green to Yellow, 10 new cases of COVID-19 a week per 100,000 people must be recorded. The LGLDHU had 24.9 per 100,000 in the last week.

The new regulations go into effect Monday, December 14th at 12:01 AM.
