The Eastern Ontario Local Food grants have been announced, and many of the recipients are close to home. Wendy’s Mobile Market of Lyndhurst will receive close to $18,000 to expand its local food delivery service to include the Ottawa area. Also, the Ontario Berry Growers Association will receive up to $17,500 to develop new ways of promoting Ontario berries to young consumers and food bloggers through social media advertising, in-store and school contests and food blogs.
Other recipients from our area include The Cassel Brewing Company, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, Lanthier Bakery, Ltd., and The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network. For more information on the grant, visit:
