North Grenville launches road safety survey

The Municipality of North Grenville is looking to develop new and update existing transportation policies.

North Grenville says the changes are in response to increasing traffic related concerns raised by residents. The policies include creating a new Road Safety Strategy, a Goods Movement and Truck Route Policy and updating the existing Traffic Calming Policy and Speed Limit Policy.

Mayor Nancy Peckford says Council are encouraging residents and business leaders to participate to help advance road safety for everyone in North Grenville, including drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

Councillor John Barclay and Public Works Liaison says North Grenville is a high growth community and these policies will be important in developing measures to respond to concerns about road safety.

Community members can give their feedback through the online survey or through the virtual community meeting at the end of November. More details will be provided soon, according to the municipality.
