Kreepy Kemptville activities return to North Grenville

You can take part in Kreepy Kemptville activities again this year.

The Old Town Kemptville BIA Events Committee has organized the events this year for residents and businesses to get into the Halloween spirit. Right now residents and business owners can decorate their home or workplace for the Halloween decorating contest.

Deron Johnston, Executive Director of the BIA, says people can decorate the inside or outside of their home or business. Johnston says they want to create a map of all the addresses that are decorated so people can drive around to see them all. The contest is open to the entire community, not just the downtown.

There are also Halloween displays at various businesses in Kemptville that the BIA encourages people to visit and take a photo in front of. On October 31st, there will be a Pumpkin Trail with pumpkins from a carving contest. People can bring their carved pumpkins to Riverside Park between 5:00pm and 7:00pm on Friday October 30th or between 9:00am and 11:am on Saturday October 31st. The Pumpkin Trail will then be displayed on Prescott street on October 31st from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. Johnston says this will give people the opportunity to drive, walk, bike, etc. through the trail. The pumpkins will be donated to an animal shelter or farm after Halloween.

To be entered into the decorating contest, you can send a photo with your family (or business) name, your home (or business) address and your phone number to [email protected]. The deadline for the decorating contest is October 30th at 9:00pm.
