The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says parents and teachers at Oxford-on-Rideau School received letters on Saturday about possible exposure to COVID-19.
A statement from the Medical Officer of Health says the Health Unit continues to closely monitor the situation and are in contact with, and have isolated, all individuals who have had a high risk exposure contact and are available to answer parents’ questions.
The COVID-19 School Screening Tool is encouraged to be used before each school day as well as regular public health recommendations.
The health unit also says testing is not recommended, unless you are experiencing symptoms. If symptoms develop, immediately self-isolate, contact the health unit at 1-866-236-0123 and get tested at a local assessment centre.
