Search for new Leeds and Grenville CAO to begin

The search for a new CAO in Leeds and Grenville is about to begin.

Leeds Grenville Counties Council is issuing a Request for Proposal by invitation for executive search firms to recruit and select a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Andy Brown is the current CAO and will be retiring in June after over three decades in municipal government.  Brown has had progressive top administrator positions with the Township of Horton, Town of Prescott, Township of South Dundas and the Municipality of North Grenville.

Warden Pat Sayeau says Brown has brought considerable strength and consistency to Counties’ Administration and has provided invaluable assistance to the council governance function in the eight years with the United Counties.

“His extensive knowledge of municipal legislation, the functioning of the political process and his vast corporate memory, has served the residents of the Counties very well. The Committee faces a major task in finding a successor.”

The United Counties plans to have an Executive Search Team in place by the end of the year or early 2021. Counties Council has appointed a CAO Selection Committee that will work with the executive search firm. This committee is made up of Warden Pat Sayeau, Councillors Robin Jones, Arie Hoogenboom, Roger Haley and Corinna Smith-Gatcke.
