St. Michael Catholic High School 2020 graduation ceremony will be virtual

St. Michael Catholic High School has announced that the graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 will now go virtual.

In an email sent to parents yesterday, Principal Tracy O’Brien says graduation ceremonies were postponed in June in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to the current increase in numbers of COVID-19 cases across the province and provincial limitations on indoor gatherings, the 2020 graduation ceremony will need to become a virtual celebration.”

O’Brien says even though this isn’t what they hoped for, they’re looking forward to the unique experience.

They will be celebrating the grads virtually during the Thanksgiving weekend (weekend of October 10th). All graduating families will be sent a link to the celebration right before the long weekend, according to O’Brien.
