Vandalism at Baxter Conservation Area

There was damage done in the Baxter Conservation Area.

The conservation area says there were broken windows, smashed canoes, snapped paddles, wrecked picnic tables and a damaged wood stove. They say the vandalism took place at their group campsite which is often used for education programs and rented out by community groups.

The damage happened sometime on the weekend of September 12th and 13th.

“It not only hurts us, but it also hurts all the kids who use these amenities for their school groups and day camps. Vandals usually do their work when they think no one is watching.”
