A final decision on Halloween in North Grenville has not been made yet, and residents don’t seem too concerned about it.
In Downtown Kemptville, one person said they will buy some Halloween candy whether it goes out to others or not. Other residents have said they’re not planning on doing anything this year or will not be making any changes from previous years yet.
Mayor Nancy Peckford says the municipality is waiting on some guidance from Public Health for Halloween.
“It’s difficult to predict what October will look like in this region right now, so we are not in a position to make a decision.”
Peckford says if North Grenville does choose to recommend against and/or cancel the event, they will let residents know as quickly as possible.
