The Municipality of North Grenville and the Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation (GCFDC) are now offering additional support to the North Grenville business community.
According to the Old Town Kemptville Business Improvement Area (BIA), Council has allocated $100,000 to establish the Small Business Grant (SBG) program.
The BIA says the program was developed because many local businesses have experienced significant challenges due to COVID-19. GCFDC will offer grants up to $1,000 to individual businesses to help recover certain costs due to the pandemic.
The funding is intended to support businesses that are changing or have already modified the way they operate, through creating new capacity or adopting technological innovations because of COVID-19, according to the BIA.
