Saunders Country Critters Zoo and Sanctuary, as well as the Garden Center, is closed.
The sanctuary says they have no revenue coming in due to the COVID-19 virus.
The sanctuary set up a GoFundMe page to help with food and veterinary costs.
On the page organized by Carla Saunders, it says they are privately owned and work with many governing agencies at their own expense to provide long term safe haven for animals that have been seized, neglected or abused. They also don’t know when or if we will be able to open.
They say the Garden Center usually provides some relief for the zoo, but since they can’t open that part either they are providing online ordering and curbside pickups at saunderscountry.com.
