The province has seen its largest one-day gain of COVID-19 cases.  There have been 514 new cases reported bringing the total to 8,961.

The number of deaths also jumped since yesterday with 38 more people dying from the virus bringing that number to 423.

But there are also other positive numbers increasing by the day.  The number of people recovered has jumped by almost 300 people to 4,194 and over the last 24 hours over 119,000 have tested negative a jump of 9,000 since yesterday.

According to the number released by the province Thursday morning, they tested just over 9,000 people, a figure a bit higher than they had promised Premier Doug Ford they would achieve by April 15th.
