UPDATE: Police say the matter is being investigated as a homicide and suicide. The deceased 44-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were involved in a domestic relationship.

There is an active investigation on Richards Street in Brockville.
The area is closed to vehicular traffic and the public is asked to avoid the area.
The Brockville Police Service was contacted earlier today, to check on the welfare of a person living in the residence. Officers forced entry into the home and located a female and male deceased.

A young child was also found, according to police, and the child was unharmed.
