North Grenville native nets Raptors recognition

Liam Glenn had the experience of a lifetime on February 23. The North Grenville native, who played basketball at St. Michael Catholic High School prior to graduating in 2014, represented the Canadian International Military basketball team at a Toronto Raptors game.

Corporal Glenn, a combat engineer currently stationed in Petawawa, joined the military right out of high school. He is part of the CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire) team and travelled to Belgium to represent Canada in 2017.

Glenn says the General Manager of the CISM team called him and asked him to attend the Raptors game, where he was featured during a TV timeout after the third quarter. Glenn was also presented with a Raptors jersey. He noted it was an amazing experience.

The Raptors won by 46 points against the Indiana Pacers – the biggest margin of victory in franchise history.

Glenn explained that at the end of the game, military representatives were brought on the court for a group photo with the team.
