Library hosting local author showcase

The community is invited to come check out the literary talent in its own backyard. The North Grenville Public Library is hosting a local author showcase. The event is set for Saturday, from 1:00 to 4:00pm, with the authors panel starting at 3:00pm. 

Liz Dwyer, Coordinator of Community Engagement, says there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. She noted it’s an opportunity for people to come meet local authors, talk to them and ask questions. 

Approximately 20 local authors, illustrators and bloggers are participating. 

Dwyer explained there’s a wide range of genres, including horror, romance and mystery. She says the purpose of the event is to promote local talent, in conjunction with Freedom to Read Week.
