Merrick Prep launching free indoor soccer program

Youth in Merrickville will have a new way to stay active this winter. Merrick Preparatory School is launching free indoor soccer every Friday evening. The first session is happening on Jan. 31, at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, from 4:00 to 5:00pm. 

Daniel Robles, Marketing and Admissions Coordinator, says it’s a great way for students to meet local youth and connect with the community. He noted the pick-up games are open to anyone in grades eight to 12. 

Youth just need to fill out a waiver form to participate.

Robles explained the program will run until the end of March and maybe beyond, depending on gym availability and community interest. He says the games are just for fun and the purpose is to promote physical activity.
