Municipality hires interim CAO

An interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is now in place. The Municipality of North Grenville made the announcement today.

Gary Dyke brings 30 years of experience working in municipal government, according to the press release. He held top positions in Kingston, Cambridge and Quinte West.

The press release further states that Dyke has demonstrated significant leadership skills in these various posts, and is well regarded across Ontario by his peers and other municipal leaders.

Mayor Nancy Peckford says as an agent of change and systems thinker, the municipality expects to fully leverage his experience and knowledge of local government, both of which represent a tremendous asset to the community.

Dyke will be formally introduced at the regularly scheduled council meeting on Tuesday night. He will serve as interim CAO for the next few months as council begins its search for a permanent CAO.

Former CAO Brian Carré ceased to work for the municipality on October 30. No reason was given for his sudden departure.
