Holiday Train rolls into Merrickville next week

The CP Holiday Train is coming to town. It’s scheduled to arrive in Merrickville on November 27 at 4:45pm. The event runs from 5:00 to 5:30pm, with performances from Scott Helman and Madeline Merlo.  

There is no cost to attend, but three area food banks will be on site collecting donations. People are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the House of Lazarus, Merrickville Emergency Food Cupboard and South Grenville Food Bank.    

The Holiday Train has raised more than $15.8 million and 4.5 million pounds of food throughout Canada and the United States over the past 20 years.  

The Holiday Train stops at 103 East Broadway & County Road 2, on the South side of the crossing near Bay Street.
