St. Michael Christmas Craft Show happening Saturday

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the St. Michael Christmas Craft Show. The event is set for Saturday at St. Michael Catholic High School, from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Over 150 vendors are participating this year.

Anne Leach, one of the organizers, says the craft show is put on by the school’s council. She noted the money goes towards supporting students, through clubs, athletics, art and other extracurriculars. Leach explained last year’s event was the biggest yet and brought in $13,000 for the school.

The show will feature baked goods, knitting, woodworking, crafts, jewelry and more.

Leach says the event has grown exponentially over the years. She noted it started out in just the school’s cafeteria and now takes up the whole first floor.

Santa Claus will be on site handing out candy canes between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
