A local business owner has been nominated for an award. Debbie Wilson, co-owner of Grahame’s Bakery, is up for the Bill Thake Memorial Economic Development Leadership Award.
The winner will be announced at the Leeds Grenville Economic Development Summit on November 22.
Wilson is the Chair of the BIA and volunteers with the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee, Kemptville and District Community Association and North Grenville Police Services Board.
She says it’s an honour to be nominated and she’s humbled by the recognition.
“I just care and want to contribute,” she noted.
The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership to help grow the economy in Leeds and Grenville.
Past North Grenville recipients include Gerald Tallman, Robert Noseworthy and Don Munz.
