Anne Walsh is hoping to empower women locally. The local art therapist and author is starting a WomanSpeak circle. The introductory session is set for Sunday, at Grenville Mutual Insurance’s community room, starting at 1:00pm.
Walsh says WomanSpeak is about finding your voice. She noted it teaches you to speak in public and develop leadership skills. Walsh explained some of the proceeds from WomanSpeak go to GirlSpeak, to empower youth. She says it’s an opportunity for women to really support each other and build confidence.
Walsh noted everyone has something important to say and if it goes unsaid, we all lose that opportunity to learn.
