Kemptville Retirement Living opens door to 75 new jobs

Three years after breaking ground, Kemptville Retirement Living is preparing for its grand opening. The 120,000 square foot facility will eventually house around 150 seniors. As of today, 87 people call it home.  

President Lucie Lapointe says Kemptville Retirement Living offers a full range of services, from independent living to supportive living. She noted the facility is expected to reach capacity by Christmas. 

To date, excluding temporary construction jobs, Kemptville Retirement Living has created 50 new jobs locally. Once in full operation, that number is expected to hit 75. 

Managing Partner Eric Chartrand says there is a full range of employment, including management positions, nursing care, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance. 

Kemptville Retirement Living boasts many amenities, including a movie theatre, spa, beauty salon and barber shop.     

The grand opening is set for October 19, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. There will be entertainment, door prizes and refreshments. A ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at 2:30pm. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. 

Kemptville Retirement Living is located at 2950 County Road 43, across from Stinson.
