Local youth have a new place to eat. Jonsson’s Your Independent Grocer donated a picnic table to the Kemptville Youth Centre, through the President’s Choice #EatTogether campaign. Owner Steve Jonsson stopped to check out the finished product.
Youth worked with KYC staff to design, construct and decorate the table.
Jennifer Franssen, Board Chair, says the KYC is grateful for the strong support from the business community.
The KYC runs weekly cook nights, every Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00pm. The organization offers free programming and a safe space for youth between the ages of 12 and 18.
