Family, friends hosting memorial benefit for Tom Pringle

September 14 would’ve been Tom Pringle’s 40th birthday. The local passed away in a collision on July 26. Family and friends are hosting a memorial benefit in his honour.

Neil Pringle, Tom’s brother, says he was happy-go-lucky with a really big heart. He explained if Tom knew you and liked you, it was genuine. Pringle says what you saw is what you got with Tom. He noted his brother was the hardest working person he ever met and Tom was always willing to help people.

The event is set for September 14 at the Kemptville Snowmobile Klub, beginning at 8:00pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. All proceeds will go towards covering estate costs for the family.

Pringle explained Tom was buried in Oxford Mills and the hearse driver said the procession was so long, he could still see people pulling out of the funeral home as he crested Bedell hill. He says it warmed his mother’s heart.

Neil and Tom ran Pringle Brothers Construction for 10 years. For more information, or to buy tickets, contact Pringle, Kate Simpson, Sarah Robinson, Jon Boucher or Chelsea Gilchrist.
