KYC golf tournament brings in $9,000

It was a hole-in-one for the Kemptville Youth Centre. The fundraising golf tournament, held July 5, brought in $9,000 for the organization. The event was sold-out, with around 80 golfers on the green at eQuinelle Golf Club. 

Operations Manager Barb Tobin says it was very successful, thanks to all the sponsors who stepped up to help. She noted it was a fun day for everyone involved. 

The KYC offers free programming for local youth between the ages of 12 and 18.

Tobin says the Board of Directors works very hard to make sure the KYC meets its budget through fundraising efforts. 

The next major event for the KYC is the Book Fair, set for August 22 to 25 at the Ferguson Forest Centre.
