Quilt raffle to benefit hospital

The Acton’s Corners Unit of the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary is raffling off a quilt. All proceeds will go to the hospital. The group will be set-up at Kemptville Live Music Festival on Saturday selling tickets.

The quilt, made by Maretta Hay, boasts batik fabrics and features a Dove at the Window pattern. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.

Director Teresa Harrison says the money raised through the quilt raffle will go to patient care. She noted the hospital is currently adding smart beds, which monitor vitals and alert healthcare professionals if there is a problem.

The group raised $5,000 last year through its quilt raffle.
