Cardinal man charged after Pride crosswalk damaged

A Cardinal man has been charged after the Pride crosswalk was damaged in Prescott.

Police say on June 17th the Grenville County OPP were notified of damage to the new Pride crosswalk on King Street in Prescott. OPP says a truck had been observed doing intentional burnouts on the painted area causing black marks and destroying some of the colour.

After an investigation OPP has charged a 44-year-old man from Cardinal with mischief. He was released and is scheduled to appear at Brockville Court on August 16th.
