Free Swim & Bounce Parties are being held at the Kemptville Pool courtesy Southgate Community Church. The events are set for July 21 and August 18, from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.Â
The first Swim & Bounce Party was held June 23 and around 160 people made it out.Â
Children’s Ministry Director Lindsay Shepherd says the events include a bouncy castle, lawn games, tents for shade and sponsored public swim. She noted free popcorn, water and juice boxes will be handed out.Â
Shepherd explained Southgate won’t be running its Sports Camp this year, due to the property being under construction. She says the Swim & Bounce Parties are a different way to connect with the community.Â
Shepherd noted Southgate values kids highly and that’s why so much time and effort goes into its children’s ministries.Â
